This month’s blog is about pop-up wedding punting in Cambridge or where ever you need it. It’s something that we have been doing by request for many years, but is now available on our website.
Why choose Wedding Punting?
Punting is the perfect thing to do at a wedding because it provides entertainment all evening, it is romantic and provides excellent photo opportunities. It’s safe for children and adults of all ages.
Each boat is of course to the usual high standards of Scholars Punting Cambridge. They come complete with cushions, blankets and a chauffeur dressed in traditional punting uniform. Hot water bottles are available for colder weather. You may wish to dress the punt with decorations or flowers. In the evening we will use lanterns to illuminate the boat.
How should you fit it into your wedding schedule?
We recommend that the punting starts in the afternoon, and finishes late in the evening. That way you will get photo opportunities in various light conditions. We can work with your photographer to get the most out of the punting.
How should you prepare your wedding venue for Punting?
To do a wedding punt you can either have your wedding here in Cambridge or select a compatible venue. Compatible venues should have either a river, lake or canal. You or your wedding planner should contact us well in advance to assess the suitability of the proposed waterway.
