All times of day are great for punting
This week we are introducing our new Scholars Punting Cambridge video which shows footage of our romantic punting tour. Our starring couple relaxed on the comfortable cushions and blankets and completed their experience with a picnic hamper and a bottle of Champagne.
The film was shot on a sunny September morning. This made for a vivid blue sky with a low sun which shone from behind the college buildings and lit them up beautifully.
As you can see from the footage, it isn’t very busy on the river. If you were to take an evening tour, the conditions would be very similar. This is why autumn is a great time to come punting in Cambridge!
The video was shot by Chris Radburn who is an experienced photographer. He works mainly for the national newspapers but finds time to join us on the Cam. The music was by Dan Sayer, a talented Canterbury-based musician. We felt that Dan’s music was mesmerizing, of high quality yet laid back, in line with the punting experience. The editing was done by Aaron J. Villa, who is also an experienced punt chauffeur. Both Aaron and Dan also worked on the video for our sister company, Canterbury Punting Company.
