Punting in Cambridge is a great opportunity for school students to discover the magnificent sights of Cambridge University. The School group tour includes an educational history of Cambridge, Cambridge University and the architecture along the river.
We offer a 45-minute punting tour, which passes the famous riverside College Backs. We cover around one kilometre, and it is a return trip. We cover different sides of the river each way so your students will be kept occupied at all times. Please refer to our virtual tour for more information.
Each punt holds up to 12 passengers and we can accommodate up to 144 passengers across our fleet at one time. If you have more than 144 students, we can take them out one group after the other. We are located next to Jesus Green, which is a useful place for students to wait whilst enjoying the scenery.
Health and safety is very important when dealing with children. Scholars Punting Cambridge can show you risk assessments and proof of insurance on request.
Chauffeured Punting in Cambridge is a very safe thing to do, because all of the children are seated in one place on the river and our chauffeurs are very experienced.
In the very unlikely event of a serious collision, our punts are highly maintained and designed to withstand heavy impact, so no harm will be done.
We are happy to provide insurance details to schools which require it. We can also offer risk assessments and most paperwork on request.
