Punting is considered to be the essential summer activity in Cambridge; sun, fizz, and a tour of the river. But why wait until summer? We deliver high quality punting tours year-round, come winter, spring, summer or autumn.

Punting in Winter

Although an outdoor activity is probably not at the top of your list during winter (despite it being the only thing we can do these days!), there is something quite cosy about sitting in a punt swaddled in coats and blankets, armed with umbrellas (just in case) and a hot chocolate from Cafe Foy, or mulled wine from Cambridge Wine Merchants!

The benefit of going on a punt tour at this time of the year is that the river is likely to be far less crowded than in the peak seasons, making your tour feel that much more exclusive and serene.

Punting in Spring

A chance of April showers doesn’t stop us, so it shouldn’t stop you! We come prepared with large umbrellas to keep you dry whilst you take in the scenery of the newly blossomed flowers amongst the bright green manicured college lawns.

Punting in Summer

Warm sunny days call for a relaxing tour down the sparkling river Cam. Paired with an iced coffee from Cafe Foy or a cold and crisp bottle of rose from Cambridge Wine Merchants (name a better duo) you can rely on us to start or end your perfect summer day in Cambridge. Opening hours extended in summer from 10:00 – 20:00.

Punting in Autumn

Amber leaves cover the river banks by the colleges, creating the perfect autumnal scene. A great way to start the Autumn months in our opinion is on a punt on the sun reflecting river Cam.
Whether you’re a local who takes Cambridge tourist activities for granted, a frequent visitor, or a one time tourist, gliding down the river is just the thing you need to mourn the warmer months and welcome the colder ones.
