There is nothing more satisfying than capturing a scene on camera, especially when you’re photographing something which you’re passionate about. The river combines natural beauty with a range of awe-inspiring buildings. Add to this a traditional wooden punt and you have the perfect photographic subject matter.
Since I fully embraced social media in 2017, I have become hooked on photography. I started by joining punting tours and taking telephone photos. As things progressed local photographers joined me for dedicated punting photography sessions, some of these included James Linsel Clark and Chris Radburn to name but a few. It has been interesting gaining some tips from these guys who are experienced professionals in their field. I have now swapped my mobile phone camera in favour of an SLR which I am finding both challenging and rewarding.
If you like taking photos and you can come at short notice, then you are welcome to join our photography punt. You can either pay a small fee or share your photo’ with us on social media. Drop me an email with your phone number and I will give you a call when we next head out – ashley@scholarspuntingcambridge.co.uk.
