Can the kids go punting?

Kids love rivers and boats because its an exciting alternative to walking. This provides a rare opportunity for you to soak up a bit of culture, whilst keeping the children amused for about an hour.

Punting is very relaxed as water sports go. It is very unusual for anyone to fall in the river, especially the customers who remain seated throughout the tour.

The boats seat three to four people across, so they are quite wide and stable. They are also built out of solid hardwood and designed to take collisions with self-drive.

Safety measures for children

The highest chance of falling in is during the boat loading or unloading. It’s important to wait for your chauffeur to secure the boat before you move.

During the tour, the boat is vulnerable to collisions from self-drive. This can trap fingers and hand’s, so it’s recommended that passengers keep their hands within the boat.
